I just finished working on Draft #2 of Assignment 2 so I've decided to update my progress here, since some of the things I added are pretty closely related to the typography tutorial we did today. I managed to find & download the font used in the Mercedes-Benz logo, which I made use of at the top right page. On Illustrator, I positioned the header (shown above) above the steering wheel, which I had edited on Photoshop last night. I haven't adjusted the kerning, leading and tracking for the one above yet, but that will probably be done soon. I have, however, added a little shadow to it by using Photoshop.
The other text that I have added to the advertisement is this:
This is what I think will be the slogan, but I'm still playing around with the fonts so it might not be the one I use in my end product. I've edited the text on Photoshop and added a little outer glow. The kerning, leading and tracking for my slogan has been adjusted and I'm pretty happy with it now, although I might change the font and have to re-do those three things.
I haven't really come up with the best idea for my left page, though, but hopefully I'll be inspired soon and think of something!
