Earlier this year, one of my friends got me to listen to a song by Bad Suns, Cardiac Arrest, and I ended up falling
instantly in love their music and downloading their EP. I'm a huge album art freak and there isn't a single song on my iTunes that doesn't have album art, so you can imagine my joy (and relief) when I saw how beautiful the cover for their EP, Transpose, is.
It's pretty simple, really, but what I love most about it is the most perfect blend between all the colours. The black background contrasts with the text and the image in the middle of the album art, even though they differ in colours. It's perfectly symmetrical, too, which balances the whole graphic out. The name of the band and the title of the EP are aligned horizontally and placed smartly at the top. The symbol in the middle is positioned such that it is in close proximity to
both the texts on either sides of the image, adding to the balance. I also love how the four objects protruding from the corners of the symbol in the middle are all bright red: the standardisation makes the album art even more pleasant to look at.
