The first thing that popped into everyone in my group's minds when we found out we could do our newsletter about anything was music. We had eventually decided to do our newsletter about the AMPed app; its website is shown above. Our final choice was between AMPed and the Spotify app, and they were definitely both feasible in our minds. At first, we wanted to do Spotify, but after speaking with Ms Teh, we ended up picking AMPed since it's a local app which would allow our newsletter content to be more localised. Our audience is thus more niche since AMPed is an app that only Singaporeans use.

The first thing we did was establish our content. We felt that there is a high risk our newsletter would turn out to seem more like a magazine, so this was very important in our process. We divided who would do which pages. Nur will be doig the cover page and back page, I'm doing two pages for 'Musician of the Month', Naad will be doing the pages on 'Upcoming Concerts' and 'Latest Charts' and Asyi will be doing the 'Promotions' and 'Public Playlists' pages.

The next thing we did was come up with a theme for the whole newsletter: purple, like the website. We also agreed to use the header background on the website as a footer for our cover and back pages. The next lesson, we were asked to do layouts for the pages each of us will be doing, which is what my next post is about.
